Terminating your residency and deactivating your personal ePróspera account are two separate actions. Termination ends your residency. Deactivation stops access to the portal without deleting your official records.
Follow the steps below when Deactivate account is available in Settings → Account. If it is not available, contact support through the portal help chat for assistance with termination. This guide does not establish a new notice period for your agreement.
1. Review what needs to be resolved
Sign in to the ePróspera portal and open Settings → Account → Deactivate account. The checklist explains each requirement and links to the place to resolve it.
Before you can submit a termination notice or deactivate your account, the applicable requirements must be clear:
- Pay outstanding amounts, including tax obligations, and complete overdue required filings.
- Wait for processing payments to settle and resolve payments needing review.
- Complete or withdraw submitted applications and unresolved service requests.
- End or transfer management, representation, registered-agent duties, and integration ownership.
- Meet applicable good-standing and insurance requirements from your signed agreement.
Unsubmitted drafts remain stored and do not independently prevent closure. Passive ownership alone is not a blocker. Accounts with internal operational access require staff offboarding first.
If the portal cannot confirm your agreement, identity records, or another requirement, contact support using the reason shown in the checklist.
2. Submit a residency termination notice
If you have active residency, review the Earliest termination date, verify your identity when prompted, acknowledge the consequences, and select Submit residency termination notice.
The date comes from the supported terms of your signed agreement and its required notice period. The portal shows the exact date and time in Honduras time; there is no universal seven-day period. Requesting termination does not end residency immediately.
During the notice period, you keep portal access to resolve obligations. Conflicting residency applications and new operational responsibilities are restricted. You can select Cancel termination notice before it takes effect; a paused notice can also be cancelled.
At the effective date, eligibility is checked again. New blockers pause termination, and the checklist shows what needs attention. Your residency has not ended while the notice is paused, and access and renewal billing continue. Once the requirements are clear, termination can complete.
If you never held residency or it already ended, skip the termination step. Future or multiple residency records may require support review.
How termination affects renewal payments
The start of the renewal period is compared with the effective termination date. An invoice's issue date, a payment reminder, or the day you click to cancel does not determine the cutoff.
- Periods starting before effective termination remain payable.
- Renewals for periods starting at or after effective termination stop.
- If you cancel the notice or termination is paused, deferred renewal billing resumes and amounts due must be resolved.
- Paid records and existing debts are preserved. There are no automatic refunds or prorated credits, and separate insurance contracts are not automatically cancelled.
For example, if termination takes effect on October 1, a renewal period starting September 30 remains payable; one starting October 1 is stopped. This is an illustration, not a promised termination date. If termination pauses, additional renewals may become due before residency actually ends.
3. Separately confirm account deactivation
After residency has ended and the remaining checklist is clear, verify your identity again if prompted, acknowledge the loss of access and retained records, and select Deactivate account. Eligibility is checked immediately before completion.
You are signed out and receive a confirmation email. Existing sessions, personal API keys (including Agent Keys), and connected-app authorizations are revoked. They will not work again if you later reactivate. Transfer organizational responsibilities before closing; credentials belonging to an organization stay with its authorized owners.
What happens to your records?
Your original account identity, RPN, government records, billing history, and audit history remain in place. Required records remain available to authorized personnel for administration and auditing under applicable retention requirements. Deactivation does not erase obligations or mean every category of data is kept forever.
For access to retained records or a privacy request, use Contact support or request access to retained records in the lifecycle flow, or contact the Help Center through its chat.
Return to the same account
Sign in with your original login identity. A deactivated account enters a restricted recovery flow rather than the normal portal. Complete fresh authentication and explicitly select Reactivate account to restore access to the same account and RPN with a new session.
Reactivation does not restore residency, transferred duties, old keys, connected-app consent, or marketing consent. Apply separately if you want residency again, create new keys, and reconnect apps as needed.
If you cannot access the original login identity, contact support for identity verification. Creating another account or resetting a password does not replace explicit reactivation or authorize access to retained records.
